The City of North Branch is very excited to be conducting an active places #ParkProud campaign.
The focus of this campaign is to engage community members to get out to the parks and to help plan the future of North Branch parks and trails. The City will be hosting “pop-up parks” at a variety of locations throughout the City and will include a variety of activities including a portable splash pad, bounce house, walking audits, bean bag toss, etc. The feedback from the events would be used to assist with the update and development of the City’s Parks, Trails and Open Space Comprehensive Plan and ultimately lead to making the community more accessible to all types of physical activity, including walking and biking. Feedback can also be provided via the following survey. Click here to take the North Branch Park Survey
The events will begin taking place on August 21st. For a full listing of the events, check out the schedule of events. For more info, please contact the City of North Branch at 651.674.8113.
Funding for this project is provided by the Center for Prevention at Blue Cross® and Blue Shield® of Minnesota, as part of Blue Cross' long-term commitment to tackling the leading causes of preventable disease: tobacco use, lack of physical activity and unhealthy eating.
